About

Howdy, partner 🤠. I'm Savannah Evanoff, a journalist turned marketer with a social media problem. The problem? I'm obsessed. With a decade of reporting under my belt, five years of marketing, a little ghostwriting and a lot of social media management, I'm a storyteller at heart. I craft brand narratives that stay consistent across every touchpoint—through compelling copy and scroll-stopping visuals. I also don't mind being the face of the brand; I view on-camera work as part of the gig. Oh, and fwiw (for what it’s worth), I’m a science nerd, too. With a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Oklahoma State University and half a journalism degree (I can explain), I always start with a hypothesis—not a theory. IYKYK. A little about me: It's not Monday; it's leg day. When I'm not writing or scrolling, I'm probably at the gym lifting weights ... and still scrolling. Linkey between sets, or I don't want it. If it's a rest day, catch me crate digging for vinyl records I definitely don't need or adding another pair of kicks to my sneaker collection. Contact me at savannah.evanoff@gmail.com.

Features Reporter

Jun 2016 – Apr 2022 · 5 yrs 10 mos · Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin Area · On-site

  • My favorite newsroom project—and proudly, my brainchild—was the DN Concert Series, a live-streamed newsroom concert series I modeled after NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts. I handled everything from booking talent to producing the livestreams and hosting on camera. The result: a high-engagement, multimedia series that blended music journalism, storytelling and social media in one seamless package.
  • As the Features Reporter, I covered a wide range of beats—front page, local news, faith, lifestyle, and food—writing enterprise stories and profiles that elevated community voices and often landed on A1. Often called “the tearjerker,” I had a knack for turning local moments into must-read features.
  • In addition, I produced and curated content for Day & Night, our weekly entertainment magazine, led social media strategy to grow our digital audience, managed page design for visual storytelling and co-hosted a weekly entertainment podcast.
