• Urban design was my passion and I wanted to learn about the ongoing urban design and planning projects in Chennai under the government. I did my internship in Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority for 2 months and it was the best insight I got into the Practical world of Urban Design. This experience widened my knowledge in the field of government projects and also helped me to contribute my part to various projects in Urban design, Urban planning and in Transport Planning
• I had an insightful experience working under Shri. Anshul Mishra IAS, the Member-Secretary of CMDA. Working under the direct guidance of Mrs. Jaya Priya Rajiv, Assistant Planner for the MRTS Redevelopment Project helped me to understand how to tackle this project keeping the people in mind. I had the chance to go for site visits to learn about the condition of the MRTS Stations and work for increasing the ridership.
• The people at CMDA are the most heartwarming people I have ever met. From the lift operators to the top positioned people are treated with respect and kindness. All the officers at CMDA wanted to work and help the interns to have a knowledgeable experience here.
• Finally I got to present my analysis and proposal to Shri. Anshul Mishra IAS, which gave me the feeling that I contributed something valuable to the government and the people

• During my 1 year here I worked on various residential projects and hospitals.The hospital projects I worked on were scheme drawings.I coordinated with the clients and understood their needs also conveying the design details.Worked on the Foundation Drawings,Plinth Layout,Beam Layout,Floor Plans,scheme drawings,Detail Drawings.I would coordinate with the consultants especially structural consultants and get structural drawings from them.I worked with various teams and also engaged with making clients understand the scope of architectural services.I underwent sitevisits of the residences.I also handled the Instagram and Facebook account of the Firm for 6 months writing and making content.

• During this internship I worked in their 2 branches in Chennai and in Kumbakonam.I worked on various scheme plans of residences and also commercial outlets.I worked more on Detail Drawings and also interior detail drawings and layouts.I also worked on the Sections and Elevations of Residences.

• In my internship of 6 months I worked on various interior design projects.I worked on floor plans of various residences and commercial restaurants.The residences I worked was designed in Islamic style and I learnt a lot about that particular type of Architecture.I used V-Ray to create certain renders of the Commercial restaurants.I also worked on Electrical and Detail Drawings.I also accompanied the Architects during the site visits and learnt about onsite work.During the Covid Time we participated in Arc Bazar Home renovation competition and won an Honorable Mention Award.The experience gained here was very insightful.
