• Managed the Bank of America, client hub project at offshore. The offshore team included:
• 1) DataStage Development Team
• 2) Siperian Architecture team
• 3) Production Data Analysis Team
• 4) Code redesign team
• 5) Batch Support Team
• 6) Operational Reporting Team (Cognos team)
• 7) Data Quality Team
• 8) Services Team (Dot Net and Java)
• The total strength of this team was around 40. My roles and responsibilities include task assignment, code reviews, architecture and design discussions, driving performance improvement initiatives, data profiling and data quality discussions and guiding the team with their day to day tasks.
• I also worked closely (hands on) for certain major initiatives like Client Hub Internationalization, Siperian Batch to Siperian API conversion (via IBM Message Queue), new reporting Data warehouse creation and DataStage server to parallel upgrade.
• On the management side, I am worked on creating competency centres and a better overlap across the teams in order to better utilize the pool of resources and the technical expertise of the members. This helped us in taking up many more complex development initiatives with the same resource pool.

• Worked on an Master Data Management (MDM) Solution to create a centralized client Hub in Merrill Lynch. This hub was built on Siperian MRM solution (now Informatica MDM) and consolidated customer and account information for approx. 20 million customers from over 10 different enterprise systems. Information was then delivered via broadcast, realtime request & response as well as scheduled batch processes to multiple systems including FA desktops, end user websites, SalesForce.com etc.
• Led a team of 9 members (3 onsite+6 offshore). My responsibilities included Oracle PL/SQL development, DataStage Development, MDM mapping, performance tuning across all the processes listed here and re-designing/re-architecting the batch process for best results/optimal performance.
• Played a critical role in Merrill Lynch and Bank of America merger. The project was about creating centralised client Hub for ML (20 million brokerage clients) and BOA (160 million retail/ banking/ brokerage clients).

• Worked on data-warehousing products, trading applications, loan allocation applications, account and client management applications, alternative investments like hedge funds and stock lending products (both to organizations and retails). Joined the project at client site (in New Jersey, USA) in September 2007. Got a good working experience in the onsite-offshore model and played the role of onsite coordinator in ensuring the deliveries to the client. Led a 4 member team when at offshore.
• I was part of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and BlackRock merger (was part of MLIM before merger).
• In technical terms, my responsibilities were developing Oracle PL/SQL codes, Unix shell scripts, perl scripts, and Autosys Jils. Worked on Eagle Pace, GlobalOne, Trema and DTC Tradesuite.
