No big dream job. No checklist to follow. Just a gut feeling that the regular path wasn’t for me. I didn’t want to climb a ladder. I wasn’t even sure what I believed in. All I knew was that I wanted to do something that blended creativity, meaning, and, yes, made me some money, too. While figuring it all out (read: stumbling upon internships and Google searches), I discovered writing. And for the first time, something felt right. My first job at a startup was complete chaos, but in the best way. I learned something about everything: UX, SEO, storytelling, content strategy, digital marketing, GTM, product management. No roadmap, just figuring it out every day. That experience gave me the confidence to try freelancing. And that’s where things really took off. I got to work with agencies, write content, and create marketing strategies for businesses, from startups to big names like AWS, Siemens, DHL, HDFC, ICICI, and more. I started sharing what I was learning on my blog, which I called Contentphilic, because that’s exactly what I had become: a content lover. Now, after 9 years in the content world, I’ve learned one thing: content isn’t just words or pretty visuals. It’s thinking, connecting, empathizing, seeing the big picture, the tiny details, and tying it all together. It’s understanding humans and machines. AI can generate words, but it takes human insight to create content that really works. That’s where small and medium businesses need real support. That’s what I’m building with Contentphilic: a content writing service that helps businesses create content that actually makes sense and makes a difference. But content isn’t my only creative outlet. Since childhood, I have been obsessed with crafts. That love led me to build Mithila Melange, a D2C brand dedicated to celebrating the arts and crafts of Mithila, where my roots lie.
