About

I am an award-winning fact-checker, editor, and writer, who has had the opportunity to work with several leading news organisations. I am currently the Editorial and Strategic Lead at Asian Dispatch, a pan-Asia newsroom and a network of newsrooms. My previous role was as the India Head of Editorial Operations at Logically Facts, where I worked with a team of fact-checkers and editors to counter online misinformation and disinformation. I have also worked at The Quint as the deputy editor (fact-check) and led the fact-checking initiative WebQoof. I helped operationalise and scale-up the vertical by securing partnerships with platforms such as Meta. I have worked on several projects promoting media and digital literacy among women, students, and young adults in India. I conceptualised and produced an award-winning series, ‘Verify Kiya Kya?’, to make fact-checking simple and accessible. At The Quint, I closely tracked and reported on the developments in the misinformation space. My investigation on the #BoycottPathaan trend won several awards. I enjoy working at the intersection of technology, gender, and misinformation to make the digital world a safer and more informed space.
