I started as the on-site manager of a 24-unit apartment building. I answered phones, fixed toilets, and collected rent. Then I moved into accounting. Became the Controller. Then the CFO. Eventually, I ran operations as COO; overseeing 23,000 units across 11 states. That company didn’t survive the 2008 crash. But I did. I co-founded Quantitative Realty Capital (QRC) to do it smarter.
