• During my time at Aviva I was responsible for underwriting commercial business insurance. This involved a high level of risk analysis which involved utilizing multiple information sources for data collection, then underwriting the risk appropriately. It was important to maintain a good relationship within the department, as keeping up to date was essential (such as new flood zones, regulations and policy changes). The position involved an element of sales and making the customers aware of contract details including the benefits of their cover. Attention to detail was essential in order to keep the companies losses to a minimum.
