Started out independently in 1997 as "Qualisys" after working for 7 years in a full time job. Have worked as a client of research at Godfrey Phillips India for 2 years and then in India's premier research agency, IMRB International, a WPP group company then (1992-97), now part of the Kantar group. The Indian economy was opening up at that point in time (1990's) and telecommunication companies ventured into India with pagers, mobiles, etc. DTH, convenience products, fast-foods were all new categories and I have been a part of their journey in the country helping companies launch, develop and capture the markets through strategic initiatives. I was heading the quali division at IMRB (PQR) Delhi before starting Qualisys. Have worked in the interiors of India and have also partnered efforts of International research agencies on Global studies. Highly specialised in Qualitative research with a good understanding of quantitative tools as well, I personally have close to three decades (since 1990) of wide experience in research, both as a client and as a researcher. Qualisys still remains a boutique research agency, having worked on more than 100 brands across 25 categories and more. We are now a team of trained researchers handling all kinds of qualitative and quantitative research to deliver strategically imperative research insights. Specialties: I specialise in Qualitative research. Extensive work in retail, food & beverages, e-commerce brands, pharma, education & apparel in all tiers of India. Was a strategic partner with Value-Added, India, a WPP group company then (headquarted in Germany) as well as IDC (specialises in IT & B2B research) and for Millward Brown for all their qualitative research needs at different points in time till they created their own specialist units. Active Member of Centre for Marketing in Emerging economies incubated by IIM Lucknow. Have also taught market research at IIM Lucknow
