• Designed low-level architecture with asynchronous RPC calls to verify pricing, payments, and invoices. Identified and resolved eight critical issues pre-deployment, enhancing system reliability and minimizing potential financial risks.
• Payment Distribution: Re-imagined algorithms to settle payments on line items, allocating amounts based on charges and discounts upon order confirmation. Developed algorithms for the redistribution of payments on downsells or upsells. Maintained a ledger format for collections and refunds to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Subscriptions & Coupons: Migrated the UC Plus subscription and coupon lifecycle from a legacy system, implementing an event-driven architecture. Ensured system consistency by using locking mechanisms in services, effectively managing cancellations, discount limits, and usage limits to maintain data integrity.
• Bundles: Worked on the selling journey of multi-session services in the customer app, developing the redemption flow from the landing page to the checkout. Achieved a 4.5% attach rate for spa services, driving a projected 10% growth in category deliveries, with 20-25% of requests driven by bundles.
• Social Proofing: Developed a personalized landing page on the UC customer app that presents metrics of popular services in users’ localities, top-rated services, recent reviews and testimonials. Designed and implemented queries, databases, workflows, and APIs to efficiently fetch metrics, improving conversion rate by 1% in A/B testing.
