National Software Product Mission (NSPM) has recommended to constitute a Committee to Working Group to evolve Software Product Development Fund (SPDF).

• Startup Promotion Cell is part of Department of Information Technology, Government of Goa. The state govt. has notified Goa Start-up Policy 2017 with the vision to make Goa one of the most preferred start-up destinations of India, and make it feature in the top 25 start-up destinations in Asia by 2025.
• Before the disbursements of incentives and benefits mentioned in the Policy, detailed documentation and information pertaining to the start-up is asked for and then a thorough due diligence is conducted by the Start-up Promotion Cell. To understand a start-ups viability of proof of concept, market existence, innovative factor and the technical background, a panel of experts has been constituted under the Policy to assist the Start-up Promotion Cell in evaluating applications received by prospective start-ups.
• The role of the members in the panel of experts is to thoroughly understand the start-up product/service, make a report based on certain parameters and give an independent opinion about the feasibility and market fit of the idea on which the start-up is working.

• The NewGen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) was initiated by Department of Science & Technology for National Science and Technology Development.
• NewGen IEDC is being promoted in educational institutions to develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in S&T academic institutions and to foster techno-entrepreneurship for generation of wealth and employment by S&T persons. The NewGen IEDCs are established in academic institutions (science colleges, engineering colleges, universities, management institutes) having requisite expertise and infrastructure.
