  • As an early hire into IBM Watson, I was part of the first Watson University team charged with creating - from scratch - the artificial intelligence technical enablement materials and methodology that would be used to train IBMers and clients on how to build and use cutting edge Watson AI solutions. I played a leading role in crafting advanced courses for Watson Discovery Advisor (WDA) and Watson Discovery Advisor for Life Sciences (WDA-LS). This involved studying detailed technical documentation to learn the architecture of these solutions, and craft structured courses and materials that would be used to translate these very complex topics into courseware that was consumable by audiences of varying technical ability. After creating the courses and materials, I was part of the team responsible for delivering these courses to the very technical audiences across IBM, and personally drafted and delivered the implementation methodology for WDA-LS. During this assignment, I was selected for a two-month residency with the Research team at Almaden Labs, focused on bringing emerging tech out of Research and building a scalable practice around the solution. That residency included hands on development of the solution, such as building and refining NLP models to extract entities and relationships from medical journals.
  • Due to strong business demand for technical enablement for Watson Explorer Advanced Edition (nee ‘Content Analytics’), took responsibility for delivery of that course domestically and internationally (both virtual and in-person), having delivered courses in China, Spain, India, and the United States.
