I’m a builder & investor on a lifelong mission to create software that augments human cognition. Acknowledged by OpenAI in their GPT-2 release and named a Goldman Sachs Top 100 Innovator for “contributions across generative AI & deep learning”, I currently lead Agentic Optimization for Salesforce AI (Agentforce) at Salesforce, which acquired my Accel-backed agentic optimization startup Spindle AI in 2025. I formerly served as President of Brainspace AI, an industry-leading natural language analytics engine backed by the CIA, prior to its acquisition by Reveal in 2021. My work has been covered in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Harvard Business Review, and elsewhere. I have been tapped for expertise in venture capital, ML/NLP, and cybersecurity by the National Economic Council (NEC), Congressional Caucus on AI, and Center on Terrorism, Extremism, and Counterterrorism (CTEC), where I have also served as Senior Advisor, Deep Learning in Counterintelligence. Previously, I served as CTO & Founder of an early language models innovator, Volley ML (later In–Residence at JPMorgan), creating the first Controllable Natural Language Generation (CNLG) engine purpose-built for highly regulated industries. We designed, engineered, and commercialized Volley’s class-leading technology with a team from Google, the NSA & CIA, Stanford, and JPMorgan—with substantial backing from Mark Zuckerberg, JPMorgan, and SVB—before I was recruited to lead & restructure Brainspace AI ahead of its acquisition. Previously, on the heels of an engineering stint at Google (via the ATLAS Institute), I worked in product & marketing on the founding team of Vetica.com (acquired by Pearson). I’m honored to sit on the Board of Advisors at the School of Computer Science at the University of Colorado, Stanford University AII, and UCSC Center for Excellence in Data Science Research; and I formally advise startups in ML/NLP, product/marketing, and GTM as an angel investor & First Round/TechStars Mentor. I invest through Thiel-backed DeepTech firm SI Capital and The Enterprise AI Fund.
