Science to data science (S2DS) is an intensive five week program designed to help academic researchers transition their skills to data science. The goal is to get hands-on experience with all stages of a data science project - from planning to production.
During the program, I collaborated with a group of six on a project with client Spot Intelligence, a UK based NLP consulting company. Our goal was to develop an end-to-end solution for users (individuals and businesses) to gain insights from vast amounts of unstructured text data. Our deliverables included:
An interactive dashboard to cluster thousands of documents into thematic neighborhoods and generate human-readable summaries for each theme.
A pipeline to identify relevant documents based on specific user queries.
A scalable solution capable of running efficiently on a local computer.
