Don't get me wrong, I still love it! Iโ€™ve placed professionals into roles that changed their careers, helped businesses build teams that actually worked and I got results. But I was doing it quietly, head down, in the background... the way youโ€™re supposed to. Then in 2020, I got laid off. And in the pause that followed, something changed. I started writing and making content. About hiring. About careers. About the gap between what companies say they want and what they actually do. About the parts of working life nobody puts in a job advert. Over 8 million people have now read and watched what I have to say about it. The number still blows my mind. Turns out, a lot of people are asking the same questions I was. About whether the rules still apply. About AI and what it means for their careers. About how to navigate a workplace that keeps changing faster than the advice does. So thatโ€™s what I talk about, the honest, sometimes messy, occasionally funny reality of modern working life. For people who are ambitious, thoughtful, and a little tired of being sold a version of success that doesnโ€™t quite fit anymore. Iโ€™m still a recruiter. A good one.
