• Re-built a Developer Relations program at Akamai within the Marketing organization. Hired and managed teams of talented developer advocates, content & event managers, and community leaders. Working with stakeholders across the company we reached and represented our community of engineers who needed to get the most out of our platform. In our first full year, our impact to the company included establishing a global Champions program of 50+, growing our audience through YouTube and Podcasts, producing much-needed technical content, assisting in pre-sales/sales activity, and providing support and community feedback on the improvement of essential tools and documentation.

Results were dozens of applications and experiences for our customers, enabling key partnerships including Disney & Lucasfilm, Capitol Records, Trigger Global, Huge, AccuWeather, fitness applications, and game developers, all achieving measurable marketing and commercial value for the company.

• As Director Platform Strategy, built the framework for “platform as a product”, establishing and strengthening API, SOA, data and service technology & business strategies for select Mashery customers in Healthcare, Travel, Media & Finance in our Strategy Services team. I worked with customers to align their platforms with business goals. This included crafting platform endpoints, roadmaps, staffing, identifying target events, and ensuring the platform was delivering valuable APIs internally to the organization and/or to external partners and developers.
• Mashery was acquired by Intel in May 2013. I was additionally tapped to advise internal groups on building strategies to drive quality partner and developer adoption based on a variety of service and data platform offerings.
• As Director, Vertical Insights, I worked with clients and teams to recognize and centralize the knowledge, strategies and solutions that help our customers grow and expand their API programs within their industry. Part strategist and analyst, this contributed to our customers’ platform growth. Within the customer success team and immersed in specific verticals, I integrated insights to share the deepest understanding of what makes APIs work within various industries.
