About

I’m Debo, an infrastructure engineer-turned-founder with a career spent building and scaling systems. Today, I’m the Founder and CEO of DevZero, the Kubernetes efficiency platform that helps infrastructure engineers cut cloud costs without breaking code or reducing uptime. My work as an Uber engineer had me working on compute platforms, infrastructure security, and developer experience. At that scale, you learn quickly how poorly cloud infrastructure actually behaves in the real world. (Millions of dollars burning before my very eyes.) Across various teams, I saw the same three problems: 1. Cloud was always the second largest line item after payroll, yet no one owned (or seemed to care) about efficiency. 2. Kubernetes clusters were over-provisioned by default because uptime pressure always won. 3. Most “optimization” efforts (if you can call them that) were manual tuning, spreadsheets, and autoscalers that barely moved utilization out of the teens. I created DevZero to solve these problems. It helps teams optimize their Kubernetes so they can stop burning money. We analyze your entire Kubernetes footprint and introduce automation that keeps clusters safe, efficient, and aligned with how real workloads behave. DevZero watches how your workloads run, identifies the waste no one can see, and rightsizes resources in real time so you pay for what you use, not what you think you need. Customers have seen 30 to 80% reductions in monthly cloud spend while raising utilization to 70 to 80% with no impact on SLAs or SLOs. To help more infra teams take efficiency seriously, we’ve assembled a team that treats customer infrastructure like our own. → We sit in outage calls. → We debug workloads with platform engineers. → We solve problems in real time that dashboards and basic autoscalers can’t. If you care about optimization, let’s talk about making your Kubernetes more efficient. www.devzero.io

  • Genie’s mission was to make searching for images as easy as searching for text.
  • The company made a neural network-based algorithm to generate human readable sentences from images. From an initial goal to build a smart phone gallery application, the company pivoted to offer an API that would categorize images. Ultimately, it got integrated with Twitter's Ad engine.

  • The goal of this company was to provide basic education to children who did not have access to education. We built a variety of educational content, that got shipped in tablets to areas with low internet connectivity. The product was designed to foster micro-communities in the villages they were deployed in.
