Hi, I’m Sarah. You might’ve seen me or my work on Instagram. Here’s a glimpse of my life to begin my LinkedIn journey: I was born into the Essajees family in Mumbai as a part of the 4th generation. Ours is a 130-year-old legacy of antiques. Art and history have enriched my life. So, when it came to my degree, I chose Art History. You must be thinking my life was sorted, right? Well, it wasn’t. → I thought I was a “jack of all trades but master of none” → I felt lost and confused for many years Everything changed for me the moment I chose to believe in myself. I wanted to do more than just admire the past; I wanted to bring it to life in the present. That’s how, in 2014, Essajees Atelier was born. However, as a new mother, becoming a business owner was the beginning of a great challenge. I failed 12 times in a row before landing my first “win”. Failure turned me into the leader that I am today. After a decade of relentless hard work, Essajees Atelier flourished. → We grew from 3 to 60+ talented people. → We’re globally recognized as an award-winning interior design studio. → We've designed 500,000 sq ft of spaces across 18+ cities around the globe (and counting). → We are now present in Dubai, UAE as Jea for all international clients. → We've transformed a 18,000 sq ft mansion in Jumeirah Islands. → We’ve worked on 3 projects last year, all over 110+ crores. I don't do "signature styles" or take any commission from vendors. I’d rather start with a blank canvas, ready to be filled with ideas that push boundaries and challenge conventions, while being completely transparent in our process with our clients.
