I decided to pursue a Masters in business at University College Dublin. Meanwhile, I committed every waking hour to learning various stacks of technology I'm interested in (programming, software, hardware, cloud compute, deep learning, AI, 3D graphic, 3D modeling, game dev).
I quickly learned Python programming language and moved to deep learning related frameworks and AI pipelines such as PyTorch, LangChain, Transformers, Gym. I studied various neural networks, including MLP, CNN, RNN, transformer model, diffusion model, as well as reinforcement learning principles and practices. I learned the basics of the entire LLM engineering cycle and trained a GPT like model from scratch.
Out of my interest in video game and 3D graphic art, I also learned Blender for 3D modeling and rendering, as well as Unity for game dev. This enabled me to create intricate 3D scenes and animations, render them and post-process the output, as well as making some simple but fun games.
