Founder at RISE, a social startup to equalise educational opportunities for high school students on the other side of the information divide. Due to decades of unending conflict in Kashmir, the education sector has been largely left neglected, and consequently, is in a state of mess, hence RISE chose it as its first zone of operation. We are planning to expand soon. RISE is also developing technology based educational tools like RISE App & RISE Edu-tablet and providing real time solutions to students, educational institutes and government through our various outreach programs.
RiSE has transformed the approach of youth of Kashmir towards higher education in STEM. Imbesat has taught and mentored more than 25,000 students and guided more than 500 students to premium institutes from IITs and NITs to Princeton, University of Penn., Purdue, and NYU among others.
The domino effect of his students’ success has propelled a new era of education in the Kashmir valley, where students can dream big and achieve more.
RISE won the mBillionth Award South Asia 2016 in the Education & Learning category.
