I didn’t set out to be a storyteller. I set out to survive. In the early years, I worked inside the service industry, branding, marketing, and tech projects stacked high on my desk. The work paid the bills, but what stayed with me were the people behind those projects: the founders who were fighting for their ideas to breathe. At NIC Karachi and NIC Hyderabad, I gave my time freely. I sat across from founders who couldn’t afford an agency, but had the kind of fire you can’t buy. I saw them struggle to explain their vision, to win a customer, to keep the lights on for just one more month. And yet, I saw them come back, again and again. That’s where I learned: The most valuable part of a founder’s journey isn’t the pitch or the exit. It’s the story. A story is more than memory, it’s a strategy disguised in experience. It’s the blueprint that shows another founder how to avoid the same mistakes, how to pivot, how to win. And when those stories are shared, they unlock opportunities that ripple far beyond one person or one company. That belief became Entrepreneur Insider. Not a media company.
