Neha Tiwari — Associate Consultant
My academic work focuses on women’s empowerment, governance, and public policy. I hold a PhD that examines the reproductive rights and agency of surrogate mothers in India, a subject that reflects my broader interest in how governance structures, institutional frameworks, and social realities shape policy-making and its implementation. Over time, my research interests have expanded to engage with emerging and pressing policy concerns. I am currently exploring the relationship between environmental degradation and its impact on women’s lives and livelihoods. I have also begun working on the intersections between the energy sector and women’s empowerment. Some of my preliminary work in these areas has already been presented at international academic conferences. Beyond research, I am deeply committed to teaching and mentoring students. I enjoy creating spaces for intellectual exchange through classroom discussions, academic events, and seminars. So far, I have supervised five Master’s students in their dissertation research. I have also contributed significantly to academic program development, including playing a key role in designing the Master's curriculum in Public Policy at Gurugram University. Through teaching, public speaking, and research, I aim to make discussions on public policy and governance accessible, engaging, and relevant to contemporary societal challenges.
