Co-founded WiseWallet, a values-based personal finance startup exploring how to give consumers transparency into the social, environmental, and governance impact of their everyday purchases. As CTO, I led technical direction and hands-on development of the iOS app and AWS-based backend (Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, MongoDB, Plaid) from zero to a functional pre-launch MVP. I designed and implemented RESTful APIs to ingest and classify transaction data, map merchants to impact data, and surface simple impact insights inside the product.
In parallel, I drove customer discovery and experimentation, running interviews, surveys, landing-page tests, and ad campaigns to validate problem-solution fit and refine our revenue model. These learnings ultimately led us toward a potential pivot in the business model. WiseWallet participated in NYU’s J-Term Startup Sprint, Startup Bootcamp, the Innovention Competition, Y Combinator’s Startup School, and AWS Activate.
