After post graduation in chemistry in year 1989, joined oil and natural gas corporation ( ONGC) in the same year. Started professional journey from Bassin Gas processing plant off Mumbai offshore and served there till 1998. During these 9 years at the offshore platform, gained hand- on experience in gas processing, dehydration, quality control and safety. Joined department of Explosives (now peso) in year 1998. PESO provided the opportunity to work across the length and breadth of the country. Served at Hyderabad, Eranakulam , Kolkata, Mumbai , Guwahati, Nagpur ,Agra and eventually posted on 3rd occasion at Hyderabad . The area of significant experience is in storage, transportation and mitigation of risk in the field of toxic gases ,petroleum and explosives. Contributed significantly in framing policy in the field of gas cylinders, import of high pressure containers . Pioneered policy initiatives for introducing Iso containers for liquid petroleum as well as refrigerants, LNG and other permanent gases. Major accidents investigation experience was Chlorine leakage in Mumbai Port and various accidents at HPC Refinery at Vishakhapatnam. Most challenging period of my professional journey was during Covid period. Entrusted to monitor almost all aspects of LOX supply chain including enhancement/ progress of vessels installation and cylinder production. These days humbled me to be a better human being.
