I have spent the last 6.5 years working closely with how lending actually works on the ground across SME and commercial banking at Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank, and Tata Motors Finance. My experience spans the full lending lifecycle from borrower acquisition and credit assessment to disbursal and portfolio monitoring across both secured and unsecured lending. Beyond execution, I’ve been drawn to improving how lending systems operate. At Kotak, I worked with product and credit teams to highlight gaps between standard policies and on-ground borrower realities, leading to documentation simplification, workflow improvements, and better alignment between policy and customer behavior. I was also part of CRM-led process digitization efforts to bring more structure to case tracking and approvals. More recently, following a family health situation, I took on two independent engagements working closely with a founder to drive execution and improve cash flows in a manufacturing setup, and building a hospitality venture from scratch, setting up operations, pricing, and customer experience end-to-end. I’m particularly interested in roles where lending, operations, and system thinking intersect building better, more practical solutions grounded in real-world experience.
