About

David is the Head of Commercial Excellence at Perstorp, stepping into this role after proving his ability to lead teams toward commercial success. He now oversees the marketing communications and marketing excellence teams, working closely with strategic segment heads and sales teams to transform the company into a global specialty chemicals leader. With Perstorp now part of the Petronas Chemicals Group, David helps drive expansion across six continents. His day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and motivating his teams, budgeting, improving sales and marketing effectiveness, and managing his direct reports. Before returning to Perstorp, David served as Deputy CEO at AJ Products. Over 7.5 years, he guided AJ’s revenue from 1.6 billion SEK to 3.5 billion SEK—achieved mostly through organic growth and two strategic acquisitions. He was also instrumental in making Key Account Management (KAM) a major part of total sales. Acting as an ambassador for AJ’s brand promise of “happiness at work,” David’s achievements led to an invitation to join the board at Tollsbo, where he now supports the development of its house of brands across Europe. Earlier in his career, David spent nine years in the chemical industry, including a role as Vice President of BU Plasticizers at Perstorp. Under his leadership, that business unit grew from 30 million EUR to 90 million EUR in sales. He has been honored with multiple awards, including the CH Wilson Prize for Organic Chemistry, as well as lifetime membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma Society—one of the highest global recognitions for business students. Recognized for his collaborative approach and inspirational leadership style—complete with a sense of humor—David excels at fostering positive energy in any workplace. He combines strategic thinking with an open mind, motivating those around him to find win-win solutions, drive growth, and create a more sustainable future
