There is a moment most new investors don’t talk about. It’s not the first cheque. It’s the step before — when you’re standing at the edge of a world that runs on pattern recognition, relationships, and judgment, and none of it has been written down anywhere for you. There is also a founder moment, when you dont know who your first investor is. That moment is why I built LVX. I am a second-time founder. My first company was a technology startup where I led engineering, contributed to an IEEE paper, and worked on software protocols — 802.11, Bluetooth, IPsec. That experience taught me something that has followed me ever since: the most complex systems can be made legible, if you’re willing to go slow enough to understand them first. First princple thinking is the ony way to build sustainable companies. LVX — now India’s largest private market investing platform — was built on that same instinct. Private markets in India were fragmented, opaque, and largely inaccessible. We wanted to build the infrastructure that would change that. Today, LVX is backed by the best investors, who trusted our vision. We work with both investors and founders across early and growth stage. Besides building, I love writing and simplifying what I learm. Thats why I write on substack and specifically "The PitchRoom" series — a slow, structured series on how to evaluate early-stage startups using the signals that actually matter. The goal has never been to get more people to invest. It’s to get more people to understand. I invest not just capital but time. As an angel, I bring operations, product experience, and a very direct style of engagement to the founders I back. Outside of work, I trek. The mountains are where I go when I need to hear my own thinking again. And that's where I met the people in the amazing village in Darjeeling, which is now part of my non profit MyPragati.
