• GE - Rail is a business unit of GE (General Electric) headquartered in Erie, Pennsylvania. It has been the market leader for diesel-electric locomotives for the past decade with over 10,000 locomotives in operation.
• My primary job responsibilites included the below:
• 1. Involved in developing Traction Control system for DC Tier II Locomotive to match the performance of the existing Dash9 DC Locomotive in the new state-of-the-art technology Common Control Architecture (CCA) platform. Handle requisitions for DC Tier II CCA Locomotive.
• 2. Developed Customer specific software requirement identification, Implementation and Integration.
• 3. As Build Manager delivered Software Releases in phased manner to meet business commitments of functionality.
• 4. Co-ordinate with Field Application team to for field calls.
• 5. Involved in the Software Build, Integrate the software implementation into the Build and maintain Version Control using Perforce Code Management Tool.
• 6. As a QNX System Administrator, involved in networking of QNX Nodes and handling all issues related to user account and backups.
• 7. Validated the Software on Norfolk Southern Locomotive by travelling to General Electric Plant in Erie, PA, USA
• 8. Consolidated the Infrastructure requirement for the qualification test setup.
• 9. As Lead Software Engineer coordinated with Erie SW Team and Bangalore team to deliver the merged CCA Software leading to increased maintainability and reliability.

• My primary job responsibilities included the below:
• 1. Engaged in developing Mobile Messaging Software products (MMS)
• 2. Co-ordinate with Integration team for software releases.
• 3. Design, documentation, software production and automated unit test suite to project standards and in accordance with the project schedule.
• 4. Designed the module that extracts the data required for Address translation and BW Listing, which comes from the Input Router as raw data packets and re-packet of data to the Core Process with the translated Address.
• 5. Design and implementation of the Message Queues, one each for priority 0-31. Implemented the algorithm, which decides the bandwidth for each priority message queue to be placed in the output pipeline for delivery.
• 6. Developed the configuration validation mechanism, which validates the modifications done by user at run-time to the Address Translation or BW Listing configuration files and if incorrect or invalid entry the previous configuration will be retained.
• 7. Used Shell and TCL scripts to generate random inputs and test the functionality of the system.
• 8. Extend support to System test team on need basis.
