About

Joost is the CEO and Co-founder of PlanBlue. With more than 20 years of professional diving experience, he has seen the seafloor change dramatically and became determined to help protect this critical environment. In 2017, he co-founded PlanBlue to bring greater clarity and decision support to activities happening on and around the seafloor. Since then, he has led the company through significant public and private investment rounds, built an international team, and guided PlanBlue’s technology from early concept to operational deployments. Joost frequently speaks at global industry events championing the responsible and sustainable use of our ocean space across defense, offshore energy and blue carbon. About PlanBlue: PlanBlue delivers next-level seafloor intelligence, giving operators added insight to more effectively monitor underwater critical infrastructure, assess potential anomalies or threats, and conduct informed environmental impact assessments for both civil and defense use cases.
