The best way to describe me professionally would be as an entrepreneur. Over the past decade, I've embraced this identity, shaping my methods, style, and attitude through diverse experiences. My journey has been one of adaptation and transformation—much like my name, Bhanu, which means sun. Just as the sun moves through different phases of the day, I’ve learned to thrive in varied environments. Starting with an MBA, I ventured into the financial world, diving deep into equity research and investment banking. This phase honed my analytical skills and strategic thinking. My transition into technology, particularly as a Product Manager at PhonePe, marked a significant shift. Here, I led the 0→1 journey for Share.Market and WealthDesk within the PhonePe Group, driving user acquisition, market insights, and strategic product development. After PhonePe, I took on the challenge of building the wealth business at Stashfin from the ground up—launching a new corporate bond investment platform aimed at simplifying fixed-income investing for retail users. It was a first-mover bet in a complex but underserved space, where I led everything from product strategy and compliance alignment to user flows and positioning. Currently, I’m driving Mobikwik’s foray into stockbroking as the first product hire—spearheading the 0→1 build of a full-stack trading platform. It’s still early days, but the excitement of creating a new product from scratch—especially within a large ecosystem—has been immensely fulfilling. At the core of all these experiences is my focus on building with clarity, customer empathy, and long-term thinking. My approach blends first-principles problem solving with data-backed decisions and a deep respect for execution. My health journey has also shaped my worldview—teaching me the value of accessible information and systems that empower people to take control. This realization continues to fuel my passion for building tech that bridges gaps and unlocks real-world impact. Outside of work, I’m deeply into Formula 1, the Premier League, discovering lesser-known lands and cafes, and long drives.
