Vine

General Manager | business strategy, team leadership, crisis management, executive collaboration

May 2016Jun 2017 · 1 yr 1 mo · New York, New York

  • With my product design background, Vine's parent company (Twitter) hired me to reignite innovation in Vine's creative tools. Leading a 50-person team, we delivered product updates to a massive audience of 200 million monthly viewers. Amid challenging circumstances when Vine faced discontinuation, I met Twitter's executive team's needs, collaborating closely with executives and the Twitter corp dev team. During that difficult time of crisis containment, we mitigated risk by archiving all the Vines, shipped a Vine downloader and a camera-only version of the app (for creators who relied on it for their workflow), and a watch-only version of the website. I made the most of an unfortunate set of cards dealt to me by taking care of the community and team as well as possible, and putting their needs before my own.
