Amir Satvat — Co-Founder
I work in games, but what I care most about is helping people who love video games find work. Over the last few years, the games industry has gone through historic layoffs. I built ASGC to make sure people weren’t left behind. I’m the founder and leader of ASGC (Always Supporting the Games Community), the largest free career support initiative in games. Supported by nearly 2,500 volunteer coaches, the community has facilitated more than 94,000 free career conversations and helped more than 4,700 people land new roles. We run 14 always-free job seeking resources across LinkedIn, Discord, and the web. Our guiding principles are simple: "We help gamers get hired. Zero profit, infinite caring." Alongside this work, I’m a Business Development Director at Tencent Games in North America. I bring 20 years of experience across Amazon, Veeam, VMware, Dell EMC, and Goldman Sachs. At Amazon, I led business development and strategy for Prime Gaming and served as a Principal Producer for Amazon Games. This work has been recognized across the industry: In 2023, I was named a LinkedIn Top Voice in Video Games and ASGC received the International Special Industry Achievement Award from the Australian XR Festival In 2024, ASGC received the inaugural Game Changer Award at The Game Awards In 2025, ASGC received the Giving Award from Games for Change, the Industry Impact Award from Game Dev Heroes, and the Unsung Hero Award at XDS Across 55 global events, ASGC has distributed 4,100 free tickets. For their 2025 and 2026 events, our community partnered with GDC and gamescom to provide over $500K in free passes to job seekers. I also serve as an advisory network member at Vivrato and as a special advisor to the Zero Abuse Project. Each year, our community supports Gamers for CHOC to benefit CHOC Children’s. ASGC has been featured by Bloomberg, NPR, Business Insider, CBC, The Los Angeles Times, IGN, GamesBeat, PC Gamer, Polygon, Naavik, and more. I’ve spoken at GDC, DICE, GamesBeat, MIGS, XP Games Summit, and served as a keynote speaker at XDS. If you work in games and want practical help navigating hiring, layoffs, or career transitions, you’re in the right place. Follow for real support, real data, and real advocacy. I hold an MBA from Wharton, an MB in Biotechnology from the University of Pennsylvania, an MPA from NYU, and a BS in Finance from Boston College. My wife and I work remotely from my hometown of Farmington, Connecticut, where we live with our three boys, 10 minutes driving from my parents.
