Ben Smith is an accomplished product leader and seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of technology and entertainment. He has led global teams of product managers, engineers, designers, business leaders, and data scientists to deliver innovative and customer-centric solutions for streaming video, music, and gaming. As the VP of Product at Amazon Prime Video and Studios, Ben was responsible for the overall product management of Prime Video globally, including UX, recommendation systems, and econometrics. He also led the product, engineering, and data science teams for AI artwork and trailer creation, outbound messaging, and X-Ray video augmentation. Prior to Amazon, Ben was the SVP, Head of Experience at Hulu, where he led the end-to-end viewer experience. He also headed Product Management at Sonos, where he led the global expansion of music services and their evolution of the home music experience. As a Partner at Microsoft, Ben led product design for Xbox for nearly a decade, broadening the gaming experience with Kinect, pioneering streaming video and living room UI on Xbox 360, and designing the TV and video experience for Xbox One. He and his teams won an Emmy for Innovation in Entertainment Devices in 2014. Ben's passion is making it as easy as possible for all people to enjoy the content they love and has been at the leading edge of reimagining the home entertainment experience. He is currently on a sabbatical and spend time with his family. He is a proud alum of the University of Colorado at Boulder and a former Peace Corps Volunteer (Mauritania).
