Amit Krishn Gulati — Co-Founder
Our work at the intersection of design & entrepreneurship has spanned diverse domains - from consumer appliances, medical devices, and robots to spaces that deliver elevated experiences. We help create award-winning airports, hotels, and hospitals, as well as craft Michelin-starred restaurants. I studied Industrial Design at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad - a place that shaped how I think, make, and see the world. Soon after graduating, I co-founded Incubis, a design and innovation consultancy that has partnered with several Fortune 500 companies and leading Indian brands to create products, spaces, and built environments. The joy of exploration and discovery has always been our starting point, leading to the incubation of creative businesses, and continuous learning through teaching and interaction with curious minds. Over the years, we've designed and invested in ventures such as Barista, which helped bring coffee culture to India; Eye-Q, a pioneering eye-hospital network; and Blueberry, an autonomous passenger transit vehicle for airports. More recently, we've built strategic partnerships with design and architecture start-ups led by inspiring founders who share our ethos. Being a part of the Stanford Graduate School of Business Seed Transformation Program deepened the focus on entrepreneurship and growth. I also mentor early-stage founders through the Stanford Seed Spark Program, helping them turn their vision into ventures with high potential. Design must create real value and deliver impact - for people, businesses, and natural systems. Whether leading design and innovation initiatives, mentoring young founders, or teaching, the purpose remains constant - to help others think differently and turn bold ideas into meaningful change. Teaching remains a vital part of my practice, with opportunities to work with students at the School of Planning & Architecture (SPA) Delhi, Anant National University, the Indian School of Public Policy, and the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women, while staying closely connected with my alma mater, NID Ahmedabad. Design is a force for good. We nurture ideas that enrich lives and inspire! We believe that design is the pathway to understanding people, solving real problems, and delivering transformation. Constant change is what fuels my creative energy. Whether driving, cycling, scuba diving, rock climbing, or walking amidst nature, life must remain in perpetual motion to catalyse new ideas.
