Training only matters if it makes a measurable impact. I’ve seen too many leadership and management programmes look impressive on paper but fade once normal work resumes. Courses get completed. Boxes get ticked. Very little actually changes. That’s why I work closely with HR and L&D leaders who want development that improves real performance, not just attendance or satisfaction scores. I’m the Founder and CEO of MTD Training and Skillshub. Together, we help organisations build stronger managers, leaders and sales teams through practical development programmes designed to be applied in the real world. Over the years, my teams and I have worked with more than 9,000 organisations. At that scale you begin to see patterns. You see what sticks, what fades, and why so much training fails to create lasting change. The biggest issue is focus. Too much training is built around activity rather than outcomes. Courses get delivered. Feedback scores look positive. Behaviour stays the same. Our approach is simple: impact over attendance. Everything we design focuses on shifting behaviour, building habits and improving performance in the workplace. Our work spans leadership development, management development and sales training, delivered through blended learning, digital platforms and practical workshops that support application back on the job. The results matter. One FTSE 250 organisation saw a 27% increase in leadership capability within three months. Another generated more than £1.5m in additional sales within six months of a programme launching. We work with multinationals, fast-growing organisations and SMEs. The size varies, but the expectation is always the same: learning must lead to measurable improvement. Alongside leading the businesses, I’m also the author of several practical books on leadership, sales, performance and L&D. I regularly speak at conferences, on podcasts and in the media, focusing on what works when organisations are busy, complex and under pressure.   • Founded Feedo to address a recurring issue I’d seen across organisations: feedback systems that generate data, but very little insight or change.
  • Too many 360-degree tools are expensive, complex and underused. They produce reports, but don’t meaningfully inform development, performance or learning decisions. My role has been to set the direction for a simpler, more practical approach to feedback and measurement.
  • Today, Feedo provides organisations with a flexible feedback and assessment platform used for 360-degree and 180-degree feedback, engagement and culture surveys, training needs analysis and programme evaluation. It allows organisations to measure what actually matters to them, using their own questions or established frameworks.
  • The focus is usability and relevance. Feedback needs to be easy to run, easy to participate in, and easy to act on. Without that, it becomes noise rather than insight.
  • Feedo now sits as part of a wider learning and performance ecosystem, supporting better decisions around development, capability building and organisational effectiveness.

  • Founded Skillshub in 2020 to address a clear gap in digital learning: platforms and content that look busy but fail to change behaviour or improve performance.
  • Too much e-learning is treated as a tick-box exercise. Completion rates are tracked, but impact is rarely measured. My role has been to set the direction for a learning ecosystem that is practical, intuitive and designed to be applied in real working conditions.
  • Today, Skillshub supports organisations with a scalable digital learning platform and a growing library of over 1,000 courses and resources. It’s used both as a standalone platform and as part of wider learning ecosystems, integrating content into existing LMS environments where needed.
  • Alongside the platform, I lead teams that design bespoke digital learning journeys, helping organisations convert existing material into engaging, performance-focused content rather than static online courses.
  • The focus has always been the same: learning that people actually use, and capability that improves how work gets done.
