About

I handle complex immigration law issues for businesses engaged in manufacturing, energy, engineering, distribution, financial services, R&D, emerging technology, healthcare, and pharma. By taking a holistic view of my practice, I apply my Big Law firm experience in labor and employment while providing my clients the personalized attention and service they can expect from a smaller firm. I am also an immigrant. I arrived in Pittsburgh from Odessa in 1993 as a refugee and can relate to the stress that the immigration process creates for my clients. My clients appreciate my availability. I’m “on the clock” on weekends, evenings, or the early mornings as needed. I work on my clients’ time, whether they’re in New York, London, Warsaw, Mumbai, or Tokyo. I truly want my clients to stay focused on their lives and allow me to be the one to worry about the immigration process. Moreover, I understand how often employers worry about finding the right candidates and that their immigration matters must be handled quickly and efficiently to keep their businesses running smoothly. I work with HR departments and hiring managers as well as business owners, answering questions and offering strategic counsel to ensure continued profitability and growth. I work to deliver on the promise to hire the best candidate to both satisfy the employer and keep the new hire happy. In my practice, I handle the following: • Work-authorized visas, including H-1b, L-1, E-2, E-1, E-3, H-3, H-1B1, TN, O-1, P-1, P-3 • Consular visa application support • Employment-eligibility verification, IRCA, LCA, public access files, E-Verify and I-9 compliance • Pre-hire assessments and immigration policies • Immigration consequences of corporate reorganization • Immigration and relocation policies • Treaty investment immigration and foreign direct investment • Physician immigration • J-1 home residency requirements waivers • Employment-based immigrant visa petitions • PERM/labor certification applications • Adjustment of Status filings • Consular processing of immigrant visas • Applications for Naturalization/US citizenship, including under Section 319(b), and • Preservation of legal permanent residence status EDUCATION University of Pittsburgh School of Law (J.D.)
