Humphrey III, and has lectured at the Harvard Law School, University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business, Kennedy School of Government, UCLA Law School, University of Michigan, the University California Law School, and the University of Minnesota Law School.   • Over 14 years in the MN legislature, Chaudhary established leadership in education, health care, public safety, and environmental issues. When elected State Rep, he became the first Asian-American member of the MN Legislature, and only the 4th Indian elected to a US state legislature. In 2000, he became the 1st Asian-Indian senator in American history. Chaudhary was re-elected in 2006 with the highest margin ever in his district-63%.
  • In the Senate, Chaudhary serves on 8 committees and commissions. A champion for conservation, his work protects MN's natural resources, while maintaining a commitment to local community interests. His commitment to service earned him an invitation to NYC shortly after September 11 to extend a message for American unity. In 2001, Senator Chaudhary escorted the Dalai Lama in his visit to Minnesota. Later in 2001, he was chosen to be a delegate by the American Council of Young Political Leaders to Argentina and Uruguay. In 2007, Chaudhary joined MN's trade mission to India and brokered MN's 1st sister-state relationship with India.
