• The Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is Minnesota’s pre-eminent defense bar association. With more than 350 members statewide, MACDL fosters, maintains, and encourages the integrity, independence, and expertise of the defense lawyer in criminal cases. It also promotes the proper administration of criminal justice, including the protection of individual rights and advances the knowledge of law in the field of criminal defense by lecture, seminars and publications.

• Over 14 years in the MN legislature, Chaudhary established leadership in education, health care, public safety, and environmental issues. When elected State Rep, he became the first Asian-American member of the MN Legislature, and only the 4th Indian elected to a US state legislature. In 2000, he became the 1st Asian-Indian senator in American history. Chaudhary was re-elected in 2006 with the highest margin ever in his district-63%.
• In the Senate, Chaudhary serves on 8 committees and commissions. A champion for conservation, his work protects MN's natural resources, while maintaining a commitment to local community interests. His commitment to service earned him an invitation to NYC shortly after September 11 to extend a message for American unity. In 2001, Senator Chaudhary escorted the Dalai Lama in his visit to Minnesota. Later in 2001, he was chosen to be a delegate by the American Council of Young Political Leaders to Argentina and Uruguay. In 2007, Chaudhary joined MN's trade mission to India and brokered MN's 1st sister-state relationship with India.

• Rep. Chaudhary was first elected to the House in 1996, and reelected in 1998. In 1996, when initially elected State Representative, Chaudhary became the first Asian-American member of the Minnesota Legislature, and only the fourth Asian-Indian elected to a state legislature in the United States. His house distict encompassed Columbia Heights, Fridley and Hilltop, Minnesota. In 2000, Chaudhary left the Minnesota house and was elected to the Minnesota Senate,
• Satveer Chaudhary is Minnesota-born and bred, and is a lifelong resident of Fridley. He is married to Dee, and has four children, three dogs, cat, and fish. He is a graduate of Columbia Heights High School, and furthered his education at St. Olaf College, where he received his B.A.; the University of Minnesota Law School where he received his J.D.; and at Oxford University, where he studied foreign policy.
