• As Partner General Manager of Microsoft Edge team in India, Raj leads Microsoft PDF efforts and the reading, research, education, shopping and extensibility verticals around Microsoft Edge. Raj has been contributing to Microsoft since 2001, working across a wide variety of areas spanning security, operating system, networking and browsers -- with teams from Microsoft TV, to Windows Security, to Internet Explorer and most recently, Microsoft Edge. For most of his career, Raj has been leading teams to verify and deliver increasingly high-quality software. Raj spent the early decade working on Windows Security Platform in various leadership roles. He had a defining role with the bring up and rollout of Credential Manager, Secure Boot and Trusted Desktop on Windows, working closely with partners across Microsoft. With Windows 10, Raj was one of the leaders behind the reboot of our browser efforts and helped bring a brand new, rebuilt from the ground up, browser with Microsoft Edge to market in rapid time. He also led the transformation of the "Test" role into "Data and Analytics" role while on the Microsoft Edge team -- with a new focus on telemetry, data, analysis, and quality assessment at scale from the customer's perspective.
• In Microsoft, Raj is known for his work ethic, attention to detail, thought leadership, broad perspective, and being a change agent. Raj grew up in Chennai, India. He has a Masters in Computer Science from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy (CEG), Anna University, Chennai. He started at Microsoft right after graduation. Raj lives in Hyderabad with his wife and 2 young boys, having relocated in 2017 from Redmond.
