About

As Head of the Center of Excellence in Human-Centered Computing (CHCC) at IIIT-Delhi and a Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering department, my work focuses on advancing Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) through user-centered and participatory design approaches. With over three years of leadership at CHCC, I specialize in developing mobile and ubiquitous computing solutions that address real-world challenges, particularly in resource-constrained environments. Our team’s research has been consistently recognized in premier HCI venues such as CHI, CSCW, and ToCHI. We recently secured significant grants from global organizations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and NIH-USA, to address critical challenges in Health and Digital Public Infrastructure domains. I am committed to mentoring the next generation of researchers, with my PhD students contributing to academia and industry at leading institutions and companies worldwide.
