• As every theoretical physicist does, I went to work for a mobile application startup.
• Sounds was a social network that allowed people to showcase their musical taste and share music with their friends. It boasted 3 million active users at its peak.
• As a Chief Science Officer in a small startup (15 people), I had a broad range of responsibilities and a central position in the organisation:
• Defined the company’s KPIs, prepared analytics decks and met with investors;
• I had one direct report, and took the lead on cross team projects;
• Built data warehousing and a system to ensure the data quality in cooperation with the iOS and Android teams;
• Built an A/B testing platform from the ground up and was involved in product decisions;
• Growth hacking;
• I obtained a 200,000€ grant from the Centre National du Cinéma to build a music social recommender. I designed and built the algorithm with the data scientist. It was successfully run in production.
• Sounds was a NFX Guild alumni and was moving at an incredible pace: a new version of the application released every 5 days. I grew a truly agile mindset and an eye for low hanging fruits. I learned to navigate in uncertain and rapidly changing environments.

• I obtained a 200,000$ grant from the James S. McDonnell foundation to build upon my PhD thesis’ work.
• Worked with computer scientists, geographers and sociologists on delineating cities from first principles, and spatial measures of residential segregation.

• Worked as an experimental physicist on the ACME electron EDM experiment. I designed and built a new system to feed ThO to the experiment, moving away from laser ablation (low yield) to heating with a laser at relatively low temperature using a new chemical pathway. Increased the flow of atoms by an order of magnitude without affecting the cooling process significantly.

• Worked as a theoretical physicist on the Tore Supra nuclear fusion reactor, where I studied the influence of different feeding mechanisms on the plasma's stability. Highlighted a problematic and unexplained loss of coupling of the heating antennas when injecting matter with pellets.
