Hansika Singh — Director of Engineering

I work at the intersection of sustainability, climate, and systems change, trying to ask better questions about how we live, grow food, build cities, and care for each other. Over the last 14+ years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with civil society groups, businesses, governments across countries. My work has focused on regenerative food systems, just energy transitions, gender and urban governance, and reimagining how we collaborate for change. Since April 2024, I am building the Systems Change practice at Socratus, where we’re exploring how to transform complex systems by building shared understanding, deep relationships, and bold, imaginative strategies. In March 2025 also began a part-time PhD at the Institute for Sustainable Futures (UTS, Sydney), researching the ambition - action gap in sustainability transitions, with a focus on Asia-Pacific region. I am also honored to be selected as a Fellow for the 2025–26 Indo-Pacific Futures Fellowship, a fully funded program by the East-West Center and the Doris Duke Foundation, focusing on leadership in food and energy system transformations. Whether I’m working in a boardroom, a panchayat office, or a community space, I’m driven by the belief that the future of the world depends on centering care, justice, and collaboration in how we design systems – and how we show up for each other.
