  • When I stepped away from full-time work, the plan wasn’t to start a company. The plan was academia. I was preparing for a PhD in Strategy. I was reading obsessively, taking notes like a man possessed, getting deep into platform theory, game dynamics, and ecosystem design. I wanted to understand how systems scaled, how choices compounded, how power moved quietly beneath the surface. And for a while, that pursuit felt right. It made sense on paper. It even impressed people.
  • But somewhere between research papers and simulations, I started asking questions no one was grading. Not “How do platforms grow?” but “Why do certain moments stay with us forever?” Why does a character’s silence feel more truthful than a thousand words? Why does a story you heard once, years ago, still live in your chest, when entire frameworks vanish a week after reading them? Strategy explained the surface. But it couldn’t touch what sits underneath.
  • That’s where Navakatha began. A space to build stories that don’t just perform, but haunt. That feel distinctly Indian, yet deeply human. That trust silence. That reward stillness. Stories that breathe, that bruise, that honour silence. The kind that make you feel seen in a way you can’t explain.
