About

I have the privilege of working for one of the top gamin companies in the world - Blizzard Entertainment - in the department of Story and Franchise Development, writing and developing content both within and surrounding games such as Overwatch, World of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft, Diablo, and Hearthstone. I write pitches, beat sheets, outlines and scripts for comics, short stories, animated shorts, and song lyrics, that both serve to pave the way for upcoming game expansions, seasons and characters, and broaden the universe of the games, increasing audience/player engagement with characters and story. I liaise with the creative leaders of the game teams to ascertain and execute on their needs, and work closely with directors, board artists, editors, VO, and producers to help develop and bring our linear entertainment to fruition. I mentor young writers and those who want to become writers. I also write, consult and develop for television, film, comics and games. I have written for over 30 animated series, from DRAGON TALES and BABY LOONEY TOONS, to MEGAS XLR; ACTION MAN; MAX STEELE; STARSHIP TROOPERS; W.I.T.C.H.; JACKIE CHAN ADVENTURES; DUEL MASTERS; MP4ORCE; THE SECRET SATURDAYS; IRON MAN: ARMORED ADVENTURES; TRANSFORMERS: ANIMATED; THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN; WALKER, TEXAS RANGER (not actually animated, but THIS close); AVENGERS: EARTH'S MIGHTIEST HEROES; GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES; YOUNG JUSTICE; THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!; ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN; TRANSFORMERS: RESCUE BOTS; KAIJUDO: RISE OF THE DUEL MASTERS; TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: MARVEL'S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY; TRANSFORMERS: CYBERVERSE and TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON. I received an Emmy Award nomination for my work on Transformers: Rescue Bots, and my team won a Gold Clio award for our work on the Overwatch Short "Dragons." I've guest-spoken to writing classes at the collegiate and professional level on the craft and business of writing for animation and games, and participated in a couple-dozen panels at conventions on similar topics. Previous career incarnations include: Development Executive in both the feature and television industries, and talent management for actors.

  • Consultant on the international Paddle Pop Lion animation franchise. Analyzed existing series, liaised regularly with the franchise's creative director in Indonesia and Singapore, and wrote / compiled a super-bible that does the following: Accounts for all "canonical" information, advises on building out and adding new characters and story lines to address the desire for a more comedic, action-friendly and up-tempo sensibility of American-style storytelling.
