About

I have over 15 years of leadership experience in technology and product development across startups and global organizations, with a focus on medical imaging, industrial imaging, computer vision, AI, and visual analytics. I am currently the VP of Research & Innovation at DarkVision Technologies, a fast-growing tech company that aims to disrupt the industrial imaging market. I am also an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia (UBC), where I mentor graduate students and advise startups. I hold a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University (SFU). I also have a professional engineering certificate from APEGBC. Here on LinkedIn, I typically write about the industries I have worked in, share some insights, discuss topics that interest me, and provide general business commentary. Occasionally, I put a company under a microscope and offer data-driven critical analysis while trying to be constructive. All views and ideas are my own. The content I provide is public, intended solely for educational purposes, and does not constitute an endorsement or financial advice. I have personal investments in several public and private companies, but I always encourage readers to conduct their own research. Feel free to follow.
