I’m Madhav Beriwal - a third-generation entrepreneur and managing director at HMB Group. I took over my family's 70-year steel business in 2017. We had 40,000 MT capacity, outdated processes, and zero automation. → I spent the next few years rebuilding. → Built a state-of-the-art mill in Burdwan. → Became India's first mild steel manufacturer with in-house galvanizing using German technology. → Scaled from 7,000 MT to 21000 MT monthly, then kept going. → Renamed everything under HMB Group (my father's initials) because that name carries trust. Then in 2024, I got married. Though I travelled more, the work never stopped. Today, I'm MD of HMB Group (HMB Ispat, Sul Steel, and HMB Ferrotech). 📌We've scaled to 220,000 MT capacity with 600,000 MT coming. 📌Turnover went from 200 crore to 1,500+ crore. 📌Team grew from 200 to 2,000 people. I still spend two days every week at our Burdwan factory. My father covers the other two days. The factory is my passion, not just my workplace. We’ve come a long way, but this is just the beginning.
