About

As Google's AI Policy Lead for Emerging Markets (Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, the Former Soviet Union, and Latin America), I currently lead the development and execution of regional strategies aimed at promoting the adoption of AI, expediting digital transformation, and driving conversations with policy makers on national AI policies, with a focus on economic development. In 2023, I spearheaded the establishment of Google's AI Academy for policymakers in Africa and Latin America, where I presented Google’s responsible AI and AI economic agenda to 100+ policy makers in Johannesburg and Santiago. I also commissioned a report on the economic potential of AI for Africa and presented it to 100+ stakeholders in Africa and at the UN during UNGA 2023. Additionally, I coordinated a cross functional team that enabled the successful launch of Bard in local languages across the region. Moreover, I contributed to Google’s AI Opportunity Agenda document, published in November 2023. Before joining Google, I served in senior roles within the Israeli government, including Chief of Staff for Israel's Mission to the United Nations and Adviser to Israel's Cabinet Secretary. My expertise is further complemented by a Master's degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and both Bachelor and Master of Law from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
