• Reporting to VP Operations and working remotely, I conceived championed and lead a cross functional DevOps team to deliver Pipeline, Infrastructure and Deployments via an Infrastructure as Code methodology.
• While this effort had been tried and failed several times in the past, my team successfully automated the movement of workloads (mostly Tomcat and Spring Boot) from the corporate cloud to AWS by leveraging containers and Kubernetes. Security, availability and performance matched existing PCI audit requirements and other customer SLAs.
• In my role, I provided the design, technical leadership, mentoring and the principal development of some of the key components of our delivery. These components included a VM image bakery, a secure Kubernetes cluster building framework, a Helm deployment framework, integration of static security analysis to the pipeline and several Kubernetes controllers.
• All tools were containerized to deliver a consistent technology stack that includes: the Hashicorp stack, Kubernetes, Kubernetes tools, F5, Fortinet, CoreOS, AWS (VPC, ECR, EC2, S3, RDS) and Jenkins

• I joined Pearson VUE as the Product Architect, in order to facilitate the acquisition of ProctorCam.
• As Product Architect I lead my Boston based team to successfully meet all of our integration and service delivery targets within six months of acquisition. This work included the integration into new corporate technology frameworks, increasing product quality, implementing new servers and other tweaks to increase service delivery success to greater than 95% from below 90%.

• As Chief Technical Officer, I managed all aspects of technical delivery for an online assessment proctoring toolkit as a service.
• As first technical hire, I initially refurbished the existing online proctoring service for cloud delivery on AWS. I then conceived and lead company’s strategic pivot to a SaaS model to deliver Online Proctoring toolkit as a Service for test assessment providers.
• As CTO, and Architect of a startup my role spanned many disciplines. I presided over vision and design of a complex multi-server and desktop solution, built a small, high-performing team, engaged in sales, customer success, service operation, and wrote a lot of code.
• The product was designed as a cloud service with a desktop component. The service was delivered through Docker deployed servers on AWS with Ruby on Rails, Java base Media servers, backbone/bootstrap Web with Adobe Air/Flex and Electron on the desktop.
