About

I lead engineering at Microsoft AI for Copilot’s Content, Personalization, and Discovery initiatives. My focus is building AI‑first consumer experiences that translate frontier models into practical, everyday value at global scale across Microsoft’s surfaces. The work is about durability and impact: turning advances in AI into products people rely on, while driving sustainable business outcomes. I care deeply about execution quality, user trust, and proving that AI can deliver repeatable value in the real world. I bring a builder’s mindset shaped by operating and shipping consumer products at massive scale, with a bias toward fast learning, strong product judgment, and durable systems.

  • As the Engineering Lead for Instagram's Reels team, my team and I are on a mission to revolutionize short-form video content and make Instagram the world’s best place to share fun videos that inspire people to join in and connect with friends over entertaining content. With Reels being one of the top priorities for Meta, our work is crucial to the success of the company.
  • At the forefront of our efforts is an unwavering commitment to offer the simplest and most innovative end-to-end creation and consumption experience. With our IG Camera team, we are constantly developing new features and tooling to help users richly express themselves while greatly reducing barriers to creation.
  • Our Entertainment team is dedicated to growing the production and consumption of short-form video (SFV) through strategic investments that inspire people to create content. We are constantly improving the time spent on video chains and investing in a variety of creative initiatives to help all our cohorts, including creators and teens, find resonance with the format and build a following.
  • In addition to this, we are also working on a comprehensive Content Strategy to activate our best creators and incentivize them to help grow entertaining content on Instagram. Our goal is to source high-quality content and help it reach a broad audience to drive engagement and inspire more users to consume and create.
  • I am responsible for supporting all Engineering efforts for Reels. This includes setting ambitious goals, providing guidance and direction, identifying areas of improvement, and ensuring that our team has the necessary resources and support to deliver high-quality work. By collaborating with other leaders in the company, I ensure that our efforts are aligned with the company's overall strategy and goals.

  • As part of Revenue Leadership at Twitter, I head Engineering for the Revenue Platforms organization.
  • Revenue Platforms builds the backend services and systems to run our entire revenue product suite end-to-end. Our goal is to ensure that our current $2.5B business runs flawlessly while empowering the revenue org to execute on future product strategy. Working on Ads Serving, Ads Analytics infrastructure, Ads Data Services, Ads Billing and Payments, Forecasting and Revenue Insights, the platforms organization is the engine that powers Twitter's Revenue.
  • Apart from delivering on our core mission, I spend my time on Revenue strategy and building high-performing teams.
  • As such, the revenue platforms org has the highest revenue-per-engineer across Revenue, and is unique compared to other similar orgs in the industry (ask me how!).
  • My current focus is on social and mobile digital advertising space, and I love building massively scalable, reliable, resilient and performant software systems. I am a passionate believer in Twitter's mission, and I help out by finding critical drivers for our business, and building the teams and technology required to achieve our goals.
  • If you want to know more, email me at sri@twitter.com. Ask me what we're working on, and why it's exciting to be part of Twitter and Revenue Platforms!
  • Before Twitter, I held a variety of jobs at Microsoft, spending most of my time in Bing’s core-search and Ads backend teams. During this time, I helped build several key components of the Search and Ads platforms (see projects section below). Before Bing, I was with the Windows Server division and worked on Server management software. My last assignment at Microsoft was to manage a team of engineers to build and deliver the "Product Ads" feature.
