I work as an Associate Professor and Institute Chair Position Professor at IIIT Delhi, India. I am also the head of MIDAS lab (http://midas.iiitd.edu.in) in IIIT-Delhi. I am looking for motivated students and interns who can work with me at IIIT-Delhi in the area of multimedia and generative AI research. I am looking forward to working with the candidates who have some experience in (any of) these following areas: Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision (CV), Machine Learning (ML), Multimodal Computing, Deep Neural Networks (DNN), Social Media Computing, and Information Retrieval (IR). Prior joining IIIT Delhi, I have completed my PhD in Computer Science under the supervision of Prof Roger Zimmermann from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. "Leveraging Multimodal Information in Semantics and Sentics Analysis of User-Generated Content" was the title of my PhD thesis. After completing my PhD, I worked as a Research Fellow at Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore. Our work at MIDAS includes machine learning, multimedia content processing, natural language processing, image processing, multimodal computing, data science, social media computing, and the internet of things. Alumnus of MIDAS lab got offers from top institutes in the world for their higher studies.
