• Enhanced QA function with regression testing suite to improve release stability significantly reducing bugs and broken features in releases

• Led the payments team that connects Chargebee subscriptions platform to payment gateways worldwide. My team created a plug and play architecture to allow payment gateway vendors self-integrate into the Chargebee platform increasing the pace of adoption of Chargebee in new geographies.

• Next generation SaaS E-Commerce platform for online merchants to grow their top line. I set up the team and delivered the MVP for Forcesight's initial launch of their ecommerce platform for sellers to manage accounts across multiple ecommerce portals like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra etc. This was a consulting engagement.

• Indiawyn is a Gaming startup by 3 young entreprenuers from Media and Gaming backgrounds that offered live interactive Game Shows on mobile devices featuring famous personalities. The challenge involved building a full spectrum Interactive Mobile Entertainment platform for a billion consumers across demographies.
• I joined when the company was struggling to release their MVP on target. I restructured the team, brought in additional experienced engineers and set up professional agile processes. I also revamped the older tech architecture that was not scalable considering the potential audience size of millions for a live show in India. I co-ordinated with AWS Solution Architects to enable higher custom limits and resource allocation to support the heavy load on the system during Live Shows, while working with cloud resellers to keep the overall infrastructure costing within budget.
• The Indiawyn 'Jeetoh' app went live on Google Play Store and Apple Store in 6 months and had over 100,000+ downloads. We did a dozen shows before covid lockdown.

• Xooa is an Enterprise Blockchain startup that has launched a managed blockchain platform to make it easy to integrate a private, permissioned blockchain ledger with any enterprise solution in verticals such as supply chain, IoT etc.
• I joined Xooa as a consultant to help set up the legal entity and its operations in India, hire and set up the initial team, create the product roadmap for an MVP and kickstart the development process. In 6 months the team had grown to 12 members and the first version of the Xooa Platform based on Hyperledger Fabric was released soon thereafter.

• I invented a virtual credit card system implemented on mobile phones leveraging technology that was originally pioneered by Mastercard and adopted by all major banks worldwide. I was awarded an Indian Patent - 3269/MUM/2010.
• I set up Semoca Systems to productionize this technology, but later pivoted to Home IoT systems due to RBI regulatory constraints.
• Semoca develped IoT, Smart Home and Industrial Automation solutions. We designed a power management device for homes with mesh networking, inbuilt wi-fi, mobile app, remote management, highly secure and supporting cascading trigger-action sets.
• I worked with local electronics component vendors and distributors to develop these smart switches to automate home electrical network. This involved both software and hardware developement, production and distribution.

• Voiamo developed a Multi-Country SIM card and Mobile Roaming solution : (US Patent - 8880038)
• I invented a solution for HNIs with a multi-geography lifestyle to manage high mobile bills and display own caller ID based on location. This was essentially a single SIM card with multiple international mobile numbers loaded on it. Users could select the number to call out from, while receiving incoming calls and messages on all numbers. Solution included embedded software in the SIM Card and Distributed, High Availability IP telephony servers for carrying international calls.
• Initially I set up a company in India and the R&D team that developed the solution. This IP was transferred to Voiamo PLC (UK) that I co-founded to productionize and market the technology, which was done under the brand Globalgig.

• Founded NetYantra and built it to a $20M acquisition by Vistula Communications Services (USA) in 2006.
• NetYantra developed a customizable high-capacity IP telephony platform with clustering and failover capabilities. Built three products on this platform: IP PBX, Call Centre Predictive Dialler, and Telecom Softswitch. Telstra UK was an early adopter of our softswitch.
• Hired and trained a team of 32 software engineers in telecom protocol development. Established agile software development processes (preceding the current SCRUM framework) and set up a 24/7 online tech support operation.
• As CTO, I was the software architect and telecom technology expert, while also leading product strategy and working with the sales team in a pre-sales capacity. NetYantra was a spin-off from my work at Synacom USA.

• Synacom was involved in IP Telephony and Mobile Roaming SoftSwitch Development for GSM (2G) and IS41 (CDMA) mobile networks. The Synacom softswitch allowed IP (internet) telephony calls from mobile devices while travelling, with handover between base stations using SIP and H.323 protocols. This project was done in collaboration with Cisco Systems.
• I owned Design & Architecture of the software platform for Five-Nines uptime and scalability.

• Opencon is a provider of telecom software products and services. We built a multi-protocol telecom software adapter for interfacing telecom management network (TMN) with telecom switches supporting different protocols such as SNMP, CMIP, TL1 etc. This was a project for Fujitsu, Japan. I was a software development engineer on this project.

• HP Openview is a network and systems protocol management platform for telecom networks. I worked as a software development engineer on Telecom Management Network (TMN) protocols such as SNMP, CMIP, CMOT using C/C++ on HPUX.

• NCST KBCS (Knowledge Based Computer Systems) division was involved in the design and development of MaTra - A Natural Language Processing Software for automatic translation of Press Trust of India news from English to Hindi using AI. I was the main programmer on this research project and worked under Dr Raman Chandrashekhar (currently Senior Principal Research Scientist at Northeastern University, Seattle), who was awarded a PhD based on this work.

• Thermax Heat Recovery Division (HRD) is a manufacturer of Vapour Absorption Heat Pumps with industrial cooling capacity of 200 Tons to 1000 Tons. I was responsible for designing entire cooling systems for customers (typically large manufacturing plants) using the Heat Pump products of Thermax.
