Rachel Wimpee oversees an array of initiatives to broaden and diversify the communities engaged in archival practice, primary source research, and historical understanding of philanthropy. She is managing editor for RE:source, the Rockefeller Archive Center’s digital platform for publishing stories from the history of philanthropy, and has published in Alliance, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, Nonprofit Policy Forum, and The Tocqueville Review. Rachel Wimpee's wide-ranging work draws on qualitative and qualitative research methodologies to bring history into the present conversation. She holds research and leadership positions in the not-for-profit sector, and has decades of research, writing, archives, and digital publishing experience. Rachel holds an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in French and French Studies from New York University. Her research interests center on women and gender, cultural representation, and the role philanthropy plays in social change.
